Projects that encourage walkability:

Community-Driven Projects: Holiday lighting, parks, and art to encourage walkability

Holiday lighting

The holiday trees along Tahoe Blvd bring our community to life, inviting everyone to slow down, explore, and enjoy the festive displays at local shops. IVCBA is proud to manage the holiday lighting along the boulevard and we encourage neighbors and businesses to join in by adding their own sparkle or making a donation. Looking ahead, we’re excited about the vision of adding lamp posts along Tahoe Blvd — creating a warm, welcoming streetscape with lighting, business signage, and seasonal hanging baskets for all to enjoy.

Christmas Tree Village Park

Enjoy the new landscaping and find a place to rest, between Crosby’s and the sidewalk.

Outdoors at Incline Library

Enjoy an outdoor learning experience in the outdoor classroom and the path around Incline Library with many sculptures and opportunities to identify native birds.

Murals and sculptures

Continue your exploration of Incline on foot and discover the numerous sculptures and murals throughout town. Community members are members o the public art committee that meet to discuss welcoming and place-making themes to incorporate throughout the town. Sites and future art pieces are discussed.

Description of Jeep Parking Spot

After months of planning and coordination, we are excited to unveil Tia’s custom retirement parking spot at the Admin Building! Much like the tradition for graduating high school seniors, this special space has been personalized to honor her—but in this case, to celebrate her well-earned retirement. It is a fun and heartfelt tribute to Tia’s years of dedicated service.

A very special thank you to Mr. Dominguez, the talented art teacher from Incline High School, for bringing this vision to life with his creativity and passion. We are so grateful for his time, effort, and artistic touch! And of course, thank you to Chief Sommers for supporting this project and helping make it possible.
