Lila Lapanja, professional ski racer and 2023 US Alpine National Champion is coming back to visit her hometown and mountain!
Join us to celebrate Lila’s amazing season with a meet and greet, autographs and live music at Diamond Peak’s Base Lodge (1210 Ski Way) on Sunday, April 16. Meet Lila from 12pm – 1pm and stick around for live music by Jacked Up until 4pm. Event will be held at the Base Lodge (on the deck if it’s sunny, inside the Loft Bar if it’s chilly).
About Lila Lapanja
Lila Lapanja entered the world by (snow) storm. Born during a Sierra Nevada blizzard at Lake Tahoe, Lila was on a pair of skis by the age of two and competitively racing by six at her hometown mountain of Diamond Peak in Incline Village, NV. A dual citizen of the USA and Slovenia, her racing skills were cultivated by her father and coach, who skied for the Slovenian National Team before racing for Sierra Nevada College.
Lila is more dedicated than ever to continue her journey on her personal “evolution of excellence” as she moves closer to qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics. A two-time North America Cup Champion who was named to the U.S. Ski Team at the age of 16, Lila made her racing debut on the World Cup circuit in 2015, holds two additional U.S. National Championship titles in Giant Slalom and Alpine Combined (2021) and four North America Cup Slalom Champion titles. Whether she is chasing a World Cup podium or cultivating her passions outside of racing, Lila is dedicated to living in the moment and inspiring all those who know her.
