Every year, as winter begins to lift and the days grow a little longer, the North Lake Tahoe community comes together for one of its most loved traditions, Snowfest.
For ten days each spring, from February 26th until March 8th, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Olympic Valley, Truckee, Incline Village, and Homewood turn into a region-wide celebration of mountain life. Snowfest isn’t just an event, it’s a feeling. It’s the moment Tahoe shifts from deep winter into early spring while still holding onto snow-covered mountains, bluebird days, and long afternoons outside.
The festival brings together locals and visitors for parties, live music, outdoor activities, family events, and community gatherings. From the iconic Tahoe City Street Faire and fireworks to brewfests, contests, and nonprofit fundraisers, Snowfest captures what makes this place special: community.
You’ll find kids’ events, friendly competitions, neighborhood gatherings, and plenty of ways to be outside, whether that means skiing, walking the lakeshore, or just enjoying live music with friends after a day on the mountain.
Snowfest also highlights local businesses, restaurants, and organizations, with specials, performances, and pop-up events throughout the North Shore. It’s one of the rare times when the entire region feels connected, as every town participates in its own way.

Nearly all of our local nonprofits are proud members of IVCBA, working every day to strengthen our community. As you consider where to give this season, remember that the Tahoe Community Foundation serves as a central hub for nonprofit resources and philanthropy across Incline Village and the greater Tahoe Basin, making it easy to support the causes you care about most.
Below are just a few of the many IVCBA member nonprofits participating in Giving Tuesday this year. Give here: https://fbnn.org/
Lake Tahoe School — Winter Market and Nonprofit Showcase
Lake Tahoe School proudly kicks off the giving season with its annual Winter Market celebration on Giving Tuesday. Pet Network
This year, Pet Network is raising funds for a generator for our shelter and community hospital so that animals in our care stay safe and warm—even when Tahoe’s winter storms knock the power out.
Fuel the Mission is our Giving Tuesday campaign to replace our retired operations vehicle so our dive team can keep cleaning Lake Tahoe year round. A dependable used vehicle allows us to haul tanks and kayaks, tow the jetski, reach remote coves, and launch in snowy winter conditions. Donors can sponsor specific parts of the vehicle from tires to safety gear to help power the pieces that keep our work moving. Every contribution (NO MATTER THE SIZE) fuels the mission and keeps our divers in the water protecting the lake from the bottom up.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to support the organizations that make our mountain community strong, connected, and compassionate. Every contribution, large or small, helps uplift local programs and the people they serve. To discover additional nonprofits doing important work in Incline Village and throughout the Tahoe Basin, visit the Tahoe Community Foundation, which provides a comprehensive directory and trusted pathways for giving. Together, we can make an impact.

During the third quarter of 2025, IVCBA continued to strengthen its role as the voice and connector for the Incline Village and Crystal Bay businesses and community.
Communications & Marketing
Marketing and communication efforts expanded significantly this quarter to further support local business visibility and community connection. The SnapShotsubscriber list grew to over 3,300, representing a 34% increase from Q2, and newsletter advertising opportunities became available, providing members with a new way to reach local audiences.
A major milestone this quarter was the launch of the Printed Merchant Map, distributed throughout town with stickers and QR codes linking to IVCBA’s new Digital Map, developed in partnership with Travel North Tahoe Nevada. This interactive online guide highlights local businesses, providing both visibility and SEO value for members. IVCBA also continued to build collaborative relationships with community agencies and businesses.
Membership, Programs & Events
Membership engagement remained strong in Q3, with a continued focus on outreach, relationship building, and program development. Eleven new members joined, and sixty three their memberships. The new Business Network Happy Hour launched in August at Alibi Ale Works, quickly becoming a monthly tradition held on the first Thursday of each month at rotating venues such as Raley’s and Bowl Incline.
The popular Member Highlight feature continued to drive engagement, with positive feedback from both featured members and the broader community. The new Mi Comunidad Council launched successfully, hosting two meetings, one with an enthusiastic turnout and another with a smaller but engaged group.
Community connection remained at the heart of IVCBA’s events this quarter.
VIP Reception on September 9 introduced new leaders to the community
Member Social on September 14
Biz Buz Mixer with Pet Network on September 26
Each event reinforced IVCBA’s commitment to fostering collaboration and meaningful relationships among local businesses and residents.
Housing Committee
Affordable and workforce housing continued to be a priority throughout Q3. IVCBA encouraged attendance at TRPA’s Housing Workshop in July and welcomed a presentation from the St. Joseph Land Trust on its innovative TAHOE Program, designed to help local residents purchase the homes they currently rent. The presentation, held on September 15, provided valuable insights into how partnerships can help address housing challenges in our community.
Main Street Beautification
Beautification and placemaking efforts remained active this quarter under the Incline Village Main Street initiative. A new Main Street webpage was launched to share updates and engage the community. A gathering space was also developed below Crosby’s at Christmas Tree Village, creating a welcoming area for residents and visitors. Throughout the summer, terra cotta pots and hanging baskets were mostly successfully maintained, thanks to community and volunteer efforts.
The annual Main Street stakeholder meeting was held in August, bringing together local partners to discuss ongoing improvements. A major highlight of the quarter was the launch of the Sierra Giving Circle, which raised a preliminary $200,000 during its inaugural “Roots to Revitalization” fundraising dinner on September 14. Donations were made through IVCBA’s charitable partner, the Incline Tahoe Foundation, supporting future beautification and revitalization projects.
Gateway Roundabout Improvements
Progress continued on the Gateway Roundabout enhancement project. Lefrancois Engineering presented its 30% completion plans to NDOT, and the designs received verbal approval from the Main Street Committee to move forward. Construction and landscaping improvements are scheduled for Spring 2026, marking a major step toward improving this key community entryway.
Looking Ahead to Q4
Building on the momentum of Q3, IVCBA will continue to drive connection, visibility, and community progress in the months ahead. Upcoming priorities include:
Joint NTCA + IVCBA Mixer – November 13 at Alibi Ale Works

We’re proud to share that so many of our IVCBA members were recognized in the 2025 Best of North Lake Tahoe & Truckee awards. These awards celebrate the people and businesses that make our region such a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. From lively music venues and family-friendly entertainment to award-winning dining, unique shopping, and trusted local services, our members were highlighted across nearly every category.
Whether it’s enjoying a night out at Crystal Bay Casino, grabbing coffee at Happy Tiers, dining at Rosewood or Sage Leaf, exploring Thunderbird Lodge, or enjoying some fun at Bowl Incline or Iron and Wood, these businesses and individuals represent the best of who we are. Their recognition is a win for all of us — locals, visitors, and the greater community that supports them.
